Creative and UI developer for University of Michigan, Hile Design, and other clients.
- Working on several projects with Hile Design, including in-progress work developing standards-based HTML optimized for accessibility by the handicapped, and implementing the markup and stylesheeting for a large content managed website.
- Created two web-based promotional applications for the University of Michigan Alumni Association's website using PHP and PHP modules. The greeting card tool allows registered users to create and send online greeting cards. Back end of card tool includes cleanup script to delete stale cards, a logging tool to record user activity, and a log viewer to monitor activity and potential abuse. Wallpaper tool creates screen-sized images out of archived photos using PHP and Javascript, scaling them to precise screen size and watermarking them. Script is optimized, caching popular image requests to reduce server load. Both scripts are designed to allow the Alumni Association to add or replace images or watermarks quickly and easily, providing for seasonal and topical themes. Also maintained content site-wide, wrote incidental scripts, and managed e-newsletters for several months in the first half of 2006.
- Developed web-based survey applications for two research studies for the Department of Psychology. Created page design, HTML, PHP and MySQL database for collecting information from participants. Both applications included administrative backends for managing users.
- Led the redesign of the Soar Technologies website and UI (soartech.com), which launched 15 June 2004. Worked on site architecture, content issues, HTML and accessiblity. Currently developing news cetnter, online publications database, and site-wide database integration using PHP, MySQL and Javascript.
- Took over the UI design and single-handedly rewrote the HTML for the entirety of destinationrewards.com while the site was transferred to a new host, all in a period of three weeks. Cooperated with a team of contractors in IT and graphic design, as well as with the client, for the site reengineering/redesign, and established processes and practices for ongoing site development and maintenance.
- Consulting with graphic design studios on a variety of web-related technical issues. Clients include Miller Studios, Hile Design, Zentech Inc., and Design Hub.

Creative lead in developing a revised front end for an application that connects employers with job candidates. 'Skinnable' front end had to accommodate clients' customization needs and meet strict application guidelines.
- Developed overall web page/site structure which integrated modern HTML and CSS whenever possible. A disproportionate volume of users depend on non-modern browsers, so markup was optimized for the broadest variety of platforms.
- Streamlined pages improved load time by up to 50%.
- Production time requirement to incorporate a new client design shrank from 32 hours to 8 hours.
